■ CHURCHPOP ■ Many hunger for the Eucharist as the country quarantines for at least the next 30 days over coronavirus concerns.
Pastor Fr. Jack Durkin of St. Monica Catholic Church in Duluth, Ga. recently filled the gap with Eucharistic Benediction on Mar. 25. He lead more than 20 Eucharistic blessings throughout the cities of Duluth and Suwanee, processing for about four hours. He concluded with drive-thru benedictions at the church.
More than 200 families drove through the parish parking lot’s circle drive, receiving individual Eucharistic blessings from their vehicles. Wow!
